Artist in residence: Marion Cheung, a brief introduction.

unnamed copy

As part of a series of Artist residencies at The Project Space in 2014/2015. We would like to initially introduce you toMarion Cheung.

Marian will be exhibiting at the Riverfront and hosting workshops during half term. She will be re-creating the look of e-waste with cardboard collage onto 3 large paintings measuring 168cm square. By using a combination of actual e-waste (circuit boards etc) with cardboard/fabric collage Marian aims to engage with the public in understanding and contextualising the use and life spans of the electronic devices we purchase and use on a daily basis. The workshops will allow participants to create cut outs of devices for Marion to use inside the arts pieces and allow paint to be used in fun and exciting ways.

WORKSHOPS:

Tuesday 28th, 11.00 – 1.00pm and Wednesday 29th 11.00 – 1.00pm.

You can see some of Marions’ work at www.marioncheung-artist.com
